Safe Drinking Water Foundation (SDWF)

The Safe Drinking Water Foundation (SDWF) is a charitable organization whose mission is to encourage the universality of safe drinking.

The Safe Drinking Water Foundation (SDWF) is a charitable organization whose mission is to encourage the universality of safe drinking. The organization raises awareness of water issues, promotes educational initiatives, conducts cutting edge research to develop new drinking water treatment tech-nologies.

Over the last 10 years the SDWF has developed five excellent education programs that are made available to teachers across the country. These programs include packages of lesson plans and materials that allow teachers to engage their classes with a multitude of hands-on, water related, activi-ties.

Over the same time period, one of our founding members Dr. Hans Peterson, developed and introduced the Integrated Biological Reverse Osmosis Membrane (IBROM) water treatment system to the world. This system uses natural biological processes to produce water that surpasses the most stringent of water quality stand-ards from even the most difficult source water that other treatment systems have failed to treat in the past.

As a new employee of SDWF, my role is to develop resources for students and teachers.
